Ruins -everywhere and everytime, that`s what draws me most. No wonder. Here in Britain these are also in abundance, and worth a visit. Some are very well known, some less...(from upper one: St Michael`s Mount, Scarborough Castle, Stonehenge)
Trzebina is a village in Opole region, at the Czech Republic/Poland border. There are still survivors of the past visible there in a shape of old buildings that are slowly heading for a fall.
We went to Rhodes one hot summer in 2007. Having been in love with Crete, I didn`t sense the danger-that I would fall for another island with equal affection. One thing is amazing about Greece, no matter the location: that time stands still there, that one is caught in the moment that has been lasting for hundreds and thousands of years.
